What to Know Before Renting a Kayak Near Myrtle Beach
Planning a trip to Myrtle Beach? You’re going to want to spend as much time in the sunshine as possible! So, you might be asking yourself, “Where can I find kayak and boat rentals near me when I’m on vacation?” We’ve got the answer! Crazy Sister Marina offers rentals of all kinds, but our kayak rentals are some of the most popular options. Here’s everything you should know when kayaking in the area!
What to Bring When You Kayak
Spending a day in the water on your kayak is a great way to get some sun and fresh air, but there are a few things you’re going to want to bring with you on your trip. First, sun protection is key! Be sure to wear lots of sunscreen and bring along a hat and sunglasses to keep you fully covered and comfortable. You’ll also want to make sure you’ve got some comfortable clothes and sturdy, water-resistant shoes. Grab some water to drink and a dry bag for your valuables such as your cell phone and car keys.
Luckily, there are a few things that you don’t have to bring when you rent a kayak from Crazy Sister, since we provide them for you! Of course, we provide your kayak, but we also give you your paddles and safety equipment, such as a life vest. Additionally, we’ll tell you exactly how to operate your kayak before you take off, so if you don’t have any experience yet, don’t worry! You’ll feel like a pro in no time.
What Type of Kayak to Get
At Crazy Sister Marina, we offer two convenient kayak models, both coming in at 13.5 feet. First, our single seat kayak is perfect for those who want to explore the water on their own and feel confident paddling around the waters all by themselves. If you’re traveling with family or perhaps have a younger child that can’t paddle on their own, we also offer double seat kayaks! These models are perfect for keeping your family close and exploring the waters together.
Each of our kayaks can be rented for 2, 3, or 4 hours. Our single kayaks are priced at $25 for 2 hours, $35 for 3 hours, and $45 for 4 hours. If you rent a double, the prices increase slightly to $35 for 2 hours, $55 for 3 hours, and $65 for 4 hours.
