A Special Tour for our Local Homeschool Families
Set sail aboard the Explorer for an exciting marine science adventure through Murrells Inlet’s beautiful saltwater marsh estuary. Led by a certified wildlife biologist, this excursion is designed to engage young learners through hands-on discovery, observation, and creativity.
🌿 Live Marine Life Demonstration – Observe local crabs and other sea life up close as we pull a sample dredge from the creek bed into our onboard touch tank.
🏝 Beach Exploration & Activity – Disembark onto a natural beach and dune area for a 30-minute guided adventure where children will team up and work together to search for shells and marine treasures in a fun scavenger hunt.
🦪 Oyster Experiment- Discover the power of oysters as a cleaning agent in our marsh as we use the scientific method to make hypotheses, observe oysters in action, and come to conclusions about the importance of oysters throughout the trip.
This excursion blends science and discovery making it a perfect outdoor classroom experience for homeschool families!
