Myrtle Beach has tons of fun activities to enjoy with your family. You can head to the beach & splash around with your family, or take to the waves in a kayak or paddle board. But if you really want to make the most of your time in the area, consider a boat rental! Take a short drive from Myrtle Beach & experience the best of Murrells Inlet boat rentals. These boats will allow you to take to the water at your own leisurely pace.

Know What’s Included

Before you head out on the water, you want to check and see what is included with your boat rental. For instance, at Crazy Sister Marina, we offer two different types of inlet boats.  These boats are both available for rent seven days a week. If you opt for our Carolina Skiff rentals, you can expect a boat that holds up to six passengers.  This boat comes with an anchor, rod holder, safety equipment, a full tank of fuel, and more. Our pontoon boats, on the other hand, can hold up to 10 passengers and also comes with the same great features of our Carolina Skiffs.

Of course, figuring out what’s included will also help you see what’s NOT included. You’ll want to bring all your own sun protection, fishing gear, and snacks and drinks. You might even consider bringing a Bluetooth speaker so you can play some music while you’re out on the water all day!

Get Your Fishing License

When you head out on charter fishing boats in Myrtle Beach, you usually don’t have to worry about buying a fishing license. Normally, your boat tour company of choice will have a license that covers everyone on your boat. However, when you choose to rent a boat, you’ll be responsible for obtaining your own license.

Luckily, it’s really easy to purchase a South Carolina fishing license so you can cast your line once you get out on the water. You can simply visit the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources’ website to purchase your fishing license online. Alternatively, many local bait and tackle shops have fishing licenses for sale. Everyone in your boat aged 16 or older will need their own license.

Learn the Best Boating Spots

Finally, you’ll want to know all the best places to take your boat! The Intracoastal Waterway in Myrtle Beach is a truly magnificent area, and you can’t go wrong no matter where you explore. You might head over to Sandy Island or Bird Island for a more relaxed experience, or if you want to check out some shopping and dining opportunities, visit the Georgetown Harborwalk or Barefoot Landing.
