3 Simple Summer Fish Recipes for Your Myrtle Beach Vacation

If you’re planning a Myrtle Beach vacation with your family, you’ll probably be spending lots of time on the water. Maybe you’ll stick to swimming or perhaps you’ll get involved in watersports like paddleboarding or jet skiing! One thing’s for sure, though: a Myrtle Beach fishing charter is a great way to spend time with your family and enjoy the great outdoors. Additionally, you may even catch a fish to bring home and prepare for dinner that evening! If you do, here are three simple meal ideas to get you inspired.

1. Baked Flounder with Lemon and Butter

If you reel in a flounder, you can get it on the table in no time with this delicious recipe from The Spruce Eats. After you’ve preheated your oven to 325 degrees, cut your flounder into individual portions and place them in a greased baking dish. Coat with salt and pepper.

Mix melted butter, lemon juice, and mixed onion, then pour this combination on top of your fish. Afterwards, sprinkle with a bit of paprika before popping your fish into the oven for 15 to 25 minutes. You’ll know it’s done when it easily flakes with a fork. Before serving, finish off with garnishes like lemon wedges and chopped parsley. Also, If you want to take it one step further, The Spruce Eats also includes a recipe for homemade garlic aioli!

2. Blackened Mahi Mahi

Getting ready to chow down on some mahi mahi? Channel the flavors of Louisiana with this blackened mahi mahi dish from A Mind Full Mom! You’ll make your very own Cajun seasoning for this recipe using salt, smoked paprika, garlic powder, thyme, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.

Once you’ve made your Cajun seasoning, all you have to do is pat your fish dry and coat it with your seasoning. Afterwards, add some butter and oil to a saute pan on medium-high heat, and once your butter is melted, add the fish. It only takes about three minutes of cooking on each side until your fish is ready!

3. Oven-Baked Sea Bass

Sea bass is one of the most mouthwatering species you can hope to catch on your fishing charter in Myrtle Beach. If you’re lucky enough to snag one of these, you can prepare it quickly and easily in the oven. This recipe comes courtesy of food.com.

Simply preheat your oven to 450 degrees and combine salt, pepper, olive oil, and salt in a cup. Place your sea bass in a shallow baking dish and rub the fish with your seasoning mixture. If you happen to have some white wine on hand, you can pour it over the fish for an extra layer of flavor! Finally bake your fish uncovered for 15 minutes before sprinkling with parsley and baking for five more minutes. Add some lemon wedges and enjoy!
